“She believed she could, so she did.”
It's Metafilter's 20th anniversary! To celebrate, scan some cats or help fund Mefi! Where does this phrase come from? Is this a quote? What's the source?
Have you ever had one of those days that started off on a bad note, continued on a bad note and somehow that same bad note seemed to play so loudly throughout the day? Here is something to ponder. Your morning routine before you leave the house for work really sets the tone for your day. Often, we get up in the morning, drag and dread getting out of bed, spend a significant amount of time on social media, and by the time we leave the house; we may be rushing to get the kids to school and get to work on time. What does your morning routine look like?
She believed she could and so she did She broke free from the chains She shirked the thoughts that went before She took life by the reigns. She lit the night with passion bright She sometimes cried and cowered But never, did she give up hope She blossomed and she flowered. Really interesting cadence there. Thanks for sharing! This poem is so inspiring and beautifully written. Such a beautiful and inspiring poem. There are so many people you encounter that would try and bring you down.
